Generelt godt.. Personalet er hjælpsomt, når man har et problem. Udlåner gerne el-converter og paraplyer. Dejligt med køleskab på værelset og koldt vand på gangen. Dejligt med pubben, når det regner og til en sen øl. Tæt på South Station så man har et godt udgangspunkt til alle dele af byen både med metro mv. eller på gåben. Boston er en pragtfuld by. Vi havde 5 dage i byen med vores søn, hvorefter vi tog til Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH.

Velfungerende hotel med service minded front desk og rigtig god concierge. Rummene har meget passende størrelse med gode senge, A/C og gode badeværelser. Havde nogle problemer med A/C den ene nat men vinduet kan også åbnes delvist på værelset. God restaurant + bar i bunden af hotellet med glimrende morgenmad og frokostmuligheder med god stemning + masser af gæster i baren over weekenden. Hotellet ligger rigtigt godt placeret tæt på shopping muligheder og metro, og ligger også lige ved udgangen fra Boston marathon. Alt i alt et rigtigt godt valg til en Boston bytur.!

"Great hotel, bad management."
It was lousy. We got no sleep the last night because of a party next door, which began at 2AM. We complained to the front desk but nothing happened. We called again and the front desk actually argued with me saying they could not find a party. I can barely hear the front desk over the phone because the party was so loud! I told them to come to my room […] because the party must be there since it is so lound in my room. Anyway, even after the front desk finally found the party it continued. Additionally, when we atre in the restaurant the service was absent. At one point no one who worked there was even in the dining room and we sat for about 10 minutes before someone actually took our plates away. Læs mere

A good place to stay. Very close to Harvard and MIT where we visited. We bought the breakfast with the room and it is worthy since we have three people. Room is clean although the bed is too soft. Overall is good.

"Holiday Inn in Somerville"
After a long 11 hrs drive from Canada, Our room was suppose to be done at 3pm. We arrived at 430pm and our room had not been cleaned yet. Then we find out that the hotel is under construction and the hot tub and pool are closed. When we book the hotel there was nothing that was said about renovation. When we got to our hotel room, there was rust in […] the shower and there was food in the corner that was not cleaned up.The only positive I could say is that it was close to the TD Gardens and a lot of tourist attractions, so that was convientant. We stayed at the Holiday Inn again because it was a very comfortable room at a great price. Everything in Cambridge and Boston is reasonably close and you don't have to pay Cambridge prices for this hotel. Very comfortable room with enough space to spread out. To bad the hotel isn't oriented to have a view of Boston but none the less our 9th floor […] room was quite and that is with neighbors on both sides. "Convenient transportation"
I like this holiday Inn though this one does not provide shuttle from the airport. It costs me 25 dollars from the airport to the hotel and 21 dollars from the hotel to Harvard business school. It is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel to the metro train.

"Clean the Sheets"
Attended a function there when I turned down the bed there was what could only be described as dried feces on the sheet ended up sleeping on top of the comforter for the night almost left all together but it was late.Too bad because the resturant was very nice and the function was nice as well.

The hotel was fine and about half mile from T station. However our room was freezing and the heater blew cold air. The pool was closed for winter and we booked at that hotel because it had a pool.

The bed in my room was enormous and very comfortable. The place is nice, not incredible, but great for a single night stay if you want a good price and more or less easy access to downtown Boston.

The room itself was very satisfactory, however we booked this specific hotel due to the availablity of the pool. To our major dissappointment, upon arrival we were informed that the pool was undergoing renovations and was unavailable. We would have booked another hotel had we known this in advance. No notice on website or by email ahead of time.

We chose this hotel in large part because of the pool and hot tub and arrived at the pool at 9:45am only to be told that it was closed daily from 10am-4pm... this was not listed on hotels.com or on the holiday inn website. A huge disappointment.

If you are choosing this hotel in part because of indoor pool and hot tub, be forewarned - it is apparently closed daily from 10am-4pm, though that is not actually posted on their website to inform guests of this. "nice enough place"
The hotel and my room were both fine. The neighborhood is not the greatest but the walk from Sullivan station to the hotel is on a main street and I felt ok walking it. I was working in Kendal square and the hotel shuttle dropped me off there. Kendal is also close enough (1.2 miles) to walk it if you don't mind cutting through an industrial area to […] get there. "Holiday Inn-Somerville great place for the family"
We arrived and the room I reserved through Hotels.com was unavailable. So instead of a King Suite I was given 2 full beds. They hotel staff was very accomodating and did everything they could do to please me. The wonderful staff made up for the room mishape. The rooms showed a little wear but it was an all around great hotel. Very close to the orange […] line Train which was great. The neighborhood wasn't bad either. We were traveling with 2 small chidren and I felt very safe at this hotel, and I was satisfied with the cleanliness. The hotel also offered a free shuttle to take you pretty much anywhere in Boston that you wanted to go, so that was very convenient as well. The Hotel also had a great pool/hot tub area. Great hotel, great price, extra clean. Only 7-8 minutes from dowtown and the hotel shuttle dropped us off there for free!

The Somerville Holiday Inn is conveniently located just minutes north of downtown Boston. If you're adventurous, try Buddy's Diner, just a few blocks away, for an authentic diner breakfast.
"Not recommended"
Had to wait until 5:00 until the room was ready; had to wait half an hour to enter the restaurant for breakfast, then had to wait for the buffet; provided pillows and towels for two (we had 4), and had to go down to housekeeping to get them ourselves; no newspapers available on the weekend (told to walk a block down the street to a convenience store). […] When I first called, was told the hotel was near the subway- it was actually 4 to 5 block thru a "iffy" neighborhood.- and ended up using cabs. Bottom line I ended up staying here during a 2 day Boston visit and needed a surface parking lot (3 18 foot kayaks on the roof). This was the closest to town I could find. "disappointing"
Thought it would be closer to activities. The area is industrial - not much going on. Car or T line needed to get even to the main street/area of Sommerville. Hotel itself was basic holiday inn. Price not worth the location with taxis added in.
Was happy with everything except for the service at the restaurant - went there for breakfast and got an impression that staff had more important issues to deal with than cutomers trying to get something to eat. Other than that, good hotel, clean rooms, comfy beds.

"Cannot sleep in rooms"
The blackout curtains will not close so there is only a sheer layer of curtains, which doesn't help at all when there is a light right outside the window!!! My colleage and the person I shared a cab with all could not sleep due to the light streaming in ALL night... Why bother having a hotel if people can't sleep there?!! This was an excellent hotel to stay at if you want to keep costs down but still be comfortable. The location is not that far from the city and the close proximity of the T means that you might as well be in the city. The free parking is a huge plus over the city, and the location is 0.4 miles from the subway. The neighborhood was not as bad as other […] reviewers stated, but I would not walk alone at night if I was a 90 pound girl. Overall, it was a good hotel for a price sensitive traveler who does not want to pay $40 per day in parking plus high room costs. Læs mere

We stayed for 4 days during June, we wanted to be in Boston on Charles St but had to settle for Somerville, it ended up fine as we were just one stop from downtown. There was a great taver, The Inn at the End of the World, n very near at which we watched the Stanley Cup playoffs. We are Canucks and of course cheered for the Vancouver team and the fans […] were awesome to us. The \Hotel staff were so helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean and close to the subway station.We would definitely stay again. Læs mere
