During our stay, my guest and I experienced an infestation of ants in the room. We received no formal apology, and were treated as if it were our fault. The only thing they did for us was change our room. Don't come to this hotel if you like being treated well. This hotel is in a convenient location without much competition. It is a step up from a truck stop, but comfortable. Be aware that breakfast included in room is only for one person. This is not noted in the description. Hotel is under construction and is dusty and noisy during the day. My only complaint besides the price is the condition of the guest room bathrooms. The wallpaper was peeling off and there was mold on the ceiling. It was impossible to control the temperature of the shower since the faucet was old and loose. Good breakfast buffet and every staff member was very friendly and welcoming. Holiday Inn in Clinton, NJ, is tucked away from the hustle of of the city. Located on top of a hill, friendly, courteous staff. Excellent get-away place to relax.

Fully met my needs. Construction in the hallways was a bit noisy and bothersome, but it shows they are maintaining the property. Elevators are the slowest in the world. Really. Otherwise a nice place.

There were a few problems but quickly taken care of .The people we dealt with were very helpful and pleasant. The general manager was a delight to deal with.We will always use this hotel anytime were in thee area

The hotel hallway and room floors looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks and the ceiling tiles were all stained. The air conditioner in my room leaked water all over the carpet all night. I went down looking for a bottle of water, none at the front desk, none in the bar, and they don’t have a store/market in the hotel. I found very few people who were helpful or nice. We needed to evacuate from a flooded area due to a Hurricane warning and chose this hotel so we would be close to family and friends in area. We booked an extra day in case we couldn't go back home or something worse had happened to our home. Luckily, we were able to leave a day earlier and hotels.com […] allowed us to cancel or make any changes due to the Hurricane without fees or questions. I was thankful for that. I spoke to the first desk and explained my story and got nothing from them. I asked them for assistance with the change. What I needed to do, if I would incur fees from the hotel if I made changes, etc...They offered no assistance. Not even assistance to contact hotels.com to change my stay. Not even, I am so sorry you needed to travel all this way, nothing. The one thing they did was yell at my kids, 2 and 4 yr old) in the lobby because they were touching the atm machine. By the way, having 3 kids and others with me, we booked 4 rooms in total and I asked a dozen times to have a fridge in at least 1 of the rooms, I was told I would. Then, noticing not one in any of the rooms, I called the first desk and was told unless I booked a suite, the room would not have one. This is after I explained my story yet again to someone else. Staff was very accommodating even at my late hour of arrival. Parking is off one side of the bldg so get their first for a good spot. Breakfast buffet was great. Had a lively nightlife if you tire of sitting in your room.

The hotel staff were terrific, but the building itself is showing some signs of age. The location is very difficult to spot coming from the Clinton Station Diner; there's a lot of overgrowth on the highway around the entrance and the sign sits back off the road. Nonetheless, it was a comfortable place to stay and some interesting places to eat in Clinton […] and environs. Læs mere

For route 78 travelers, this was very convenient. Really beautiful hotel with a bar and full service breakfast if you wanted. The free continental breakfast wasn't so good, but all we wanted was the coffee anyway.

Short but Great stay. Very comfortable accommodations. Got good rest.

This hotel was fine for one night, it is in need of an overhaul and the room was very warm, no air conditioning (the outside temp must be above 65) and the small window was screwed shut. The staff was friendly and there was a small continental breakfast in the morning as well as an onsite restaurant, ample parking and easy on/off the highway.

1. There was a constant whistle in the air/vent system that kept us and other guest up all night. No apology or whatever after complaint. 2. The food was inedible and we were starved. However, when we told management about that they refunded the cost of the food. 3. Its was a Friday night and the people running the hotel bar decided to kick their customers […] out so they could close at 11:30 PM. When I went down to check on my nieces, I found them and about 9 other guest outside partying (they were not ready to turn in so early. 4. I paid the tab for the dinner and drinks and found out when I got home that the bar staff charged an additional $41 on top of what I had signed for. This was on top of stupidly tipping these people. I've called and talked to their manager and accountant 3 times so far with only vague promises. I will never stay at any Holiday Inn ever again. I most note that the staff at breakfast were very courteous and helpful. One more thing, the beds were like slabs of stone. Læs mere

Picked this hotel as stop over on way to Boston after reading the reviews for the Allentown area. Trust me, drive the extra 25 minutes. It is worth it. Other than a very loud bar when you walked in the door the place was fine. Walked around the town of Clinton the next morning. Very much worth seeing. The hotel is excellent value for money and in a nice location, nice rooms and ambience. They charged me twice for the same booking at the hotel when I stayed two weeks back and even after multiple reminders, I have not received any refund. Inspite of all the niceties, I am probably not going to stay at this place again due to my experience and hassles […] with the way I was charged. Hope I get back the money I owe. Læs mere

This is my only legitimate gripe. One issue was that we selected the hotel in part because of the indoor pool. We have a 2 and 4 year old. So, when we found out the pool was closed part of the day when we wanted to go swimming, we were abit miffed. They had a wedding ceremony going on at the pool. I guess that is bad luck more than anything. The thing […] that really sucked though (May 2009 by the way) was that ion the middle of the night the air conditioning system started making a loud high pitched noise. It woke me up at 3:30 am. I was awake for 90 minutes before I fell asleep again. I couldn't sleep so I walked the 3rd floor. All of it. The whole floor had this noise. This happened the next day, but luckily it was mid-day. The second night it didn't hap[pen again but why this is not a #1 priority to resolve is beyond me. I'm saying this because there was little in terms of urgency in the hotel staffs voices. If we ever go back to the area (we went for Northlandz)which is likely next year, we iwill be staying elsewhere. Læs mere
