Holiday Inn Miami Coral Gables - Coral Gables

I was on business to the University of Miami. The hotel was 100 yards from the light rail stop and directly across the street from the university. Perfect location. the hotel was just fine. It was not Hilton, but it was no dive either. The restaurant was good and it was clean. I will stay there again.

This hotel was cozy and great.Unfortunately I thought breakfast was included but when I re-booked for a lower rate that was not the case.Still, the buffet was nice each morning. Very nice hotel and walking distance to UM.

The room I stayed in was pretty comfortable. It was right on the second floor. However, you stepped outside of your room and everything was sort of dingy. They were doing a lot of maintenance but not to the areas that truly did require maintenance (such as the elevator). The internet was beyond unreliable. For someone who was trying to get some work […] done at night, the hotel really was not a good pick. I'd even be willing to pay for my internet usage, instead of having free but horrible internet. Right across the street from University of Miami. The Metro is right across the street making it easy (and inexpensive) to get to and from the airport. Staff is very helpful and informative. I definitely will use this hotel in the future now that my daughter has chosen U of Miami for school

Yonne, the manager at this hotel, offered exceptional service ad that typified this hotel. They cannot do everything but they do all that they can and go beyond twheer they have to go.

Good location, clean big room, good service. A little old and could use an update. Carpets need to be changed. Overall good hotel, would stay again.

The room was big and sufficiently clean but the walls were thin and the housekeeping staff was very loud! We asked them (twice!) to please quiet down, but they continued to yell to each other through the hallways. We checked in around 3pm and wanted to rest/nap in the room after a long trip, but had a hard time due to their noise. We were only there […] for one night and thankfully needed to check out early in the morning, right when the housekeeping staff arrived again to begin their "yelling to each other" in the hallway. Front desk was friendly and pool side room was good. A lot of noise in am from cleaning staff, slamming doors, etc. Refrigerator and microwaves not in every room. Good location for sites south of Miami and the airport.

1. Very noisy (from employee walkie-talkie conversation after mid-night, from housekeepers' talking in the morning at the hallway, and from the Metrotrains cross the street in the early morning.) 2. THE MAYOR ISSUE WAS FIRST THE INTERNET, IT WAS SLOW,AND NOT HIGH SPEED AS THEY ADVISE IN THE HOTEL INFO. We had just arrived in Miami afetr a Trans Atlantic flight and the Beds were the best we had ever had on our first night after more than 16 years of travelling to the USA!

The hotel was very convenient for my event at the University of Miami. It was fairly clean, though a little battered. Beautiful courtyard, though, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Great location with access to US1. However hotel is old, very dirty, carpert is unclean in rooms as well as walk ways, lift didnt work during 3 days stay and maintenance is big question. Staff is friendly and very curtious!

Located in the US1, near airport and several Miami shoppings and supermarkets. The room and other facilities were OK with a nice swimming pool. Recommended for a short trip.

Conveniently located for University of Miami. Mediocre hotel with limited service for dining. Nothing to eat late at night. Ate the breakfast buffet twice. The food was average at best. Limited fruit selection-sour pineapple. No orange juice. The last time I ate there they had run out of sausages, eggs, and pancakes. Lazy breakfast staff not checking […] the cooked food buffet. I complained about this to the waitress who didn't seem too interested. I was in a rush to get to the airport and they didn't refill the food. Ripoff! Housekeeping does a good job. The front desk clerks are friendly during the daytime. The night time clerk is grumpy and unfriendly. You can do better - choose another hotel. They need to offer food options for late arrivals. We used to stay at this hotel on our frequent visits to Miami. I believe there was a major renovation carried out about 5-6 years ago. Since then the hotel has gone downhill. The rooms are adequate but not very clean. There is no longer furniture on the patios or cutlery and crockery in the rooms. Instead of replacing these items they have just been […] removed. Disappointed in this hotel. Not our normal Holiday Inn,...my white socks were black from the flooring. Elevator was too far from room. We had last room in corridor that was L shaped and it was a hike every time we came or went. Food was good in dining room, but a little pricey. Not very comfortable, bathromm too small, no valet parking , nobody to help with bags. in general the hotel and rooms need a remmodelation.

I stayed there 3 nights during the month of August. The swimming pool was the only thing enjoyable during my stay. The complimentary morning coffee pot was empty 3 out of the 4 mornings there. Staff was great and Edgar at the front desk was very helpful and delightful. Pool area was very nice. However, the rooms are not very sound proof. First night I heard the baby in the next room crying and in the morning it sounded like people yelling not talking down the halls. One thing to watch out for is using the microwave. Our room had a microwave […] and little refrig next to the TV and when we used the microwave while the TV was on it turned them all off. Only one day was pretty bad, it was really raining outside and all the electricity went out for a few hours. Without the air on the room smells musty.

The building its self was very old and it showed in some areas but, the rooms have been remodeled and are very nice. Not much of a view. The hotel back up to a residential area. The pool area was very tropical and is in the center of the hotel so it is very private.
