We were at a seminar at the Marriot for 4 days and wanted to find a cheap place to stay. We actually didn't know what to expect, but were very surprised when we checked in to the hotel. Generally the standard is high, and the rooms are big and comfy, and you park right outside your room. All the basic necessitys were there, and the bed was great! […] The breakfast also surprised by being more than "just" baggels - we also had english muffins, alot of different cakes, yoghurts, granola and different bevereges. There is a big supermarket only 1km from the hotel with a starbucks, mall & electronics store. Also, the other way, is an 7-Eleven. Overall a very positive experience. Læs mere
"comfortable faded glory"
It was a pleasant stay, and not bad for the money. (Given, of course, that the dollar is fast becoming worthless, and so prices for everything are wildly inflated.) This place must have been pretty nice twenty years ago. Now the signs of wear are evident everywhere... the carpet is worn and a bit ratty, the porcelain was chipped and stained in the sink, […] and everything seemed just... tired. "Very convenient location"
Very clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast included in a sensible price.
"Recent stay April 2012"
The room was typical for a 2* hotel and the price was reasonable. However, I experienced repeated problems with the key because the key lock was not working. Frequent change of key still did not solve the problem and it was terribly annoying. The hotel should change the key locks.
easy location but hotel is run-down and looks even worse! the rooms are in desperate need of a major remodel! in my room there was peeling wallpaper, a shower head that made a 5'5" person have to duck under, and an old television that had a barely working remote. the location is great for business, but that is the only redeeming factor
"Dirty, scary, and old."
Found empty vodka bottles under my mattress. Shower tile was literally falling off the wall. Dirt and grime around the sink faucet. Stains all over the carpet. Carpet unraveled at edges. And, to top it off, security is non-existent -- had two thugs try to kick my door in at 4:30am one morning!!!! This place was probably cool back in the 50s and 60s, […] but not now. Bulldoze it. Not bad. You get what you pay for. The rooms all have exits to the outside. And they are kind of small. And I found a few ants in our bathroom. However, the service was good. I had an emergency situation and needed a room for me and my 5 year old daughter and the hotel took an hour and a half before they would accommodate us at 2:30am!!! The police had to be called to enforce our stay which was paid by my mother!!!! We would have been on the streets if it wasn't for Sunnyvale police, God bless them!! Hotel room was not what […] my mom paid for! Smelly and dirty and a very unsafe neighborhood!! The hotel manager was completely insensitive to the whole matter, even though the room was paid for. "Got what I paid for"
The room was old and run down, updating is needed really bad but the front desk staff was very nice and accomodating. I left my credit card at the front desk when I checked in at about 12:30am and one of the gents up there ran to the other side of the complex where my room was located to pass it to me before I even had all of my bags out of the car. Tired looking place, not so clean. And charged me more for a non smoking room even though this is what was offered through hotels.com. Very disappointed.

In Room: Decent room size with small 'fridge. Standard (not flat screen) TV with very limited channel selection. Queen size bed, couch, coffee table, desk & chair, sitting bench with pull out drawer for extra storage & combo TV / Dresser Armoire. Bathroom (toilet & shower) are in separate small room with vanity and area to hang clothes in open area […] to living/sleeping area. Other items of interest but not used, coffee maker, iron & ironing board. Outside: Fairly large pool. Bar/lounge. Food selection limited to their specialty tri-angle burgers and Japanese. I didn't try the food so I can't rate it. Located near Great America Amusement Park, a large AMC theater and several restaurants. Overall not a bad 3+ star place for a quick stay. Læs mere

Very nice, with spacious court yard. Friendly staff. Good yummy breakfast including hot sausages and scrambled egg. Quiet at night. Very convenient. Take the Lawrence Expressway south for 5 minutes and take right on Homestead to find a delightful Asian food and shopping square with fantastic food at very low prices. Hotel was adequate, but good for the price. Wireless internet was free but poor quality didn't cover the full hotel lobby areas and bandwidth was painfully slow.sometimes. For the price still.very reasonable

I was out in the Valley for a conference when I found this Ramada just around the corner -- and a third the price to boot! I should have known from the price what to expect, but even still. It's a two floor motel with small rooms, lumpy beds and old tube TVs (not that flat screens are important -- more of a way of gauging the level of maintenance which […] has been lavished on this place). The general condition of the hotel is rundown, to be charitable. I think the way I put it to my wife was that I wouldn't be too surprised to find a chalk outline on the property. The location is convenient, but the neighborhood is not exactly the greatest. The rooms are cleaned every day, but the facility is a very old one, so the carpets, furniture, TV (last few CRTs in the valley!), bathroom etc. are very ordinary to put it diplomatically. The pictures on the website show this hotel differently. I was very unhappy with the location of this hotel and the cleaniness of the property. I would not reccomend this hotel to friends and coworkers.

Some of the beddings may be different from the one shown on the website; however, all pictures on the website were taken few years ago. Depends on the room type you booked with, your actual room may look a little different. According to your reservation records, there was a request for the room to have a "Dark Decor." Although all decor in the guestrooms are the same, we tried our best to allocate the room on the corner to meet your special request. We strive ourselves in providing friendly customer service and a pleasant stay for each guest staying with us. It appears we fell short on this goal; with this said, please accept our sincere apologies.

Our group had several rooms booked for 2 nights each and everyone was very pleased with their stay. The rooms were adequate, the price was great, the hot tub was relaxing, and the breakfast had several yummy choices. Ease of check-in and check-out was nice. Place was built when I was growing up nearby. Was the only nice place for miles. It hasn't changed much. The room was cold, had to have the noisy heater on all night. There were not enough blankets on the bed. Everything was worn, the bathtub dates back to the early 60's. At least things worked with the exception of the clock radio. Being the first hotel to open in the City of Sunnyvale, we are an older property as mentioned; however please know our housekeeping staff as well as the maintenance staff perform room inspections daily to make sure everything is in order. Floors were uneven, They were moving carts at 1:30 in the morning, witch weere very noise. I got their early and they said the room would be ready in 45 minutes and I came back in hour and a half, and they said 45 minutes. Asked them what was up and the desk clerk blow me off. Besides that it was ok. Not very well taken care of.
We sincerely apologize that we didn't meet your expectations. We are at loss to the comment on "floors were uneven" as our carpets are laid over concrete. Being an exterior corridor property, you may have head someone rolling their luggage outside as we don't have housekeeping/maintenance staff to move carts at 130 in the morning. Our check-in time is at 3pm and according to our records, we didn't see any requests for early check-in. We do our best to accommodate guests' requests and it is sometimes not possible. With this in mind, please accept our apologies for not able to check-in early.

The place was fine for what I needed. I guess you get what you pay for. Bed looked nice but mattress was really old. Shower had ants in it.

This Hotel can be summed up in one word, "GHETTO". This Hotel is long overdue for an update. We stayed in room 165 and the exterior looks like something straight out of the 70's. There was black mold on the acoustic (popcorn) ceiling and the hot water handle to the shower was stripped so you couldn't turn the hot water on. The wall paper was stained, […] dirty and peeling off. I would highly recommend spending an additional $25 to $30 to stay at a cleaner Hotel in the same vacinity. In addition, if you check in with a Debit card, they put a $50 hold on your card that is not removed until 5-days after you check out. Will never stay at a Ramada again! Læs mere

Hotel is in a good location. That is the only plus. We stayed for 2 days and room service did not come on the second day. Towels all looked very used. Bathroom door would not close easily. This hotel looks like a cheap motel.

Service from staff is excellent, great breakfast. But property is old and tired looking, even @ a low price. Room not set up for doing work, not a good set up for computer use, plugs hard to get to, chair not comfortable.

The hotel was clean and the service was good. It was a very good deal for the price but the rooms are old and need updating. The breakfast was not the best, but it was something before leaving. There was a party the day we arrived and the people from the party were extremely loud until like 2 in the morning; it's not the hotel's fault but we had a room […] right by the stairs and it was really noisy. Also, hotel employees were smoking right outside the main entrance with some of the guest from the party and there was no way to avoid the smoke when entering the hotel; I think the should NOT allow smoking by any door let alone the main entrance. Most of things were good, but there wasn't restaurant in the hotel.

Most of the stay is okay except for the room. Room looked really old and I could smell cigarettes enough though its was non smoking room.
